New our Observational Pathway, walk alongside the world famous Lovell Radio Telescope and find our the answers to who, what, why and how. Within our Visitor Centre we have a 3D theatre and small exhibition area. See the changing seasons in our 35 acre Arboretum. Explore how trees help to sustain the Earth's environment within the Tree Planet exhibition in our Environmental Discovery Centre. Space Cafe, shop and picnic area. Open from November to March weekdays 10.30 to 3.00, weekends 11.00 to 4.00. Mid March to last Sunday in October, 10.30 to 5.30 daily. Admission Adults £1.50. children (5-16) £1.00. Under 4's Free. Entrance to the 3D theatre £1.00 per person.

SPECIAL EVENTS FIRST LIGHT A musical/visual exploration of the Lovell Telescope at Jodrell Bank by Jem Finer (of the Pogues) and Ansuman Biswas Friday 3rd August, gates open at 7.30 pm, performance starts at 9.30 pm.

An Audience with Sir Bernard Lovell On Saturday 4th August at 7.30 pm. On the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Lovell Telescope, a rare change to hear the Founder and first Director of Jodrell Bank speak about the development of the Observatory and look back over his astounding career.

Fri 5th to Sun 14th October First Flight - the Dawn of The Space Age We celebrate the Dawn of the Space Age with our ten day 'First Flight' events series. In 1957 the Lovell Telescope tracked the flight of the first artificial satellite, Sputnik I. In 2007 we celebrate the Space Age as part of our daily lives.
