Early Easter Treats at Tatton Park
With the last Christmas chocolate only just unwrapped, March's Easter weekend promises new treats much earlier in the calendar than usual. In fact the next time Easter will be this early is 2285! Staff at Tatton Park have been working hard to prepare the House, Gardens, Farm and Parkland for its Easter weekend and High Season visitors. The early spring has been felt throughout the Park; already there is a glorious display of camellias in the gardens and our first spring lambs were born on New Year's Eve! Join us from Saturday 22nd to Monday 24th March for a 'Totally Chocolate Easter' with plenty to entertain the family across the Park. Celebrate a traditional Easter holiday weekend in the Mansion. Enjoy the beautiful spring and chocolate themed floral displays in the opulent staterooms and be entertained by our 'Living History' volunteers. Children can try Victorian egg painting and make their own Easter cards in the evocative rooms of the Servants' Quarters. Come and see the new spring arrivals at Home Farm, including Tallulah the Tamworth's adorable pure bred piglets, which are only 3 weeks old. Visitors will be able to meet the Farm's storyteller and Rosie the Chocolate Cow and take part in the Hunt for the Golden Ticket with 'Tilly Tonka'. Approach the Farm on the Land Train, the perfect way to travel! -more- -cont'd Can you beat Tatton's Terrible Pirate to a treasure chest of chocolate in the Gardens by following the spine-chilling skulls and crossbones? All the family will enjoy the beautiful gardens in their first spring finery. Make your way to the Old Hall, nestled in a peaceful area of the Parkland. Experience a guided costumed 'tour through time' from 1500s to 1950s and learn about the history of this fascinating medieval manor house, cruck barn and grounds.
